IDO FERRIES & SEABUSSES
İDO (Istanbul Fast Ferries Co. Inc.) is the world’s largest commuter ferry operator, with a fleet of 87 passenger ships and 86 piers. Following its privatization for 30 years in 2011, a major rebranding effort took place, during which Yurdaer Architecture designed and built 35 ship cafés.
This project involved working across multiple shipyards and piers—ranging from military and private shipyards to Haliç Shipyard, the world’s oldest operating shipyard. Adapting our designs to various ship types, including Double-Ended Fast Ferries, Katamaran Fast Ferries, Damen Katamarans, and Sea Buses, was a complex and rewarding challenge.
